TWITS Picks GW13: Average Scho, And As For The Other Two…
Well, this is becoming a bit of a theme. Another pretty poor week for the TWITS team, with only one of us hitting double figures (and only just). Let’s move on. Probably not even worth talking about.

Well. Pretty crap. In fairness 3 of the 4 games that let me down was just by 1 single goal. That’s an extra 14 points PLUS the 5 edge bonus points, so there’s that I guess. But alas a poor week again, and I didn’t learn my lesson with Derby from last week.
Schoey: 11 points

Blackburn 1-2 Derby (BIG BET) - Draw (0pts)
Tottenham 2-2 Manchester United - Draw (5pts)
Everton 2-0 Fulham - Home (3pts)

Salford 0-0 Cambridge - Home (0pts)
Manchester City 3-0 Liverpool - Home (3pts)

Well you might as well call me average scho at the moment. 3 correct results again, but it’s just not good enough to compete near the top! I really need a solid 20+ week. Sadly I don’t think lower league week is the time that’s going to happen for me. I hope I can surprise myself, or get the big bet right at least!

Bit of mixed weekend for me and really I’ve dropped points again only 2/6 correct this week. Maybe the big bet would have gone a different way if Blackburn scored the penalty but Derby looked dangerous each time they went forward. I’m no longer betting on Millwall now every time I back them they do something different. Hate to say it but Kieran and Schoey are looking to pull away so this is a big week for me need 20+ points this weekend to keep me in it.
Current Standings
1st) Schoey (Correct: 34, Points: 140)
2nd) Kieran (Correct: 27, Points: 104)
3rd) Will (Correct: 28, Points: 94)
Gameweek 13 Picks
Kieran
MK Dons vs Salford (BIG BET) - Away
Don’t have too much love for MK to be honest, but the main reason I’m going for Salford is the big man himself Mr. Karl Robinson. Brought some good times to Oxford and hopefully he’ll do the same for me here.
Burton vs Blackpool - Draw
Blackpool have only won 1 out of 7 all season away from home, with the other 6 being losses and conceding 11 goals in that time too. I’d say this means they are due a draw, and with Burton only winning 2 at home, this looks like it could be the game.
Lincoln vs Doncaster - Home
Easy choice. Lincoln having 14 points at home this season to Doncaster’s 7 away, it looks like it should be a straight forward win. Then again, I’ve said that before.
Port Vale vs Wycombe - Draw
I always have faith in Wycombe to grind out a draw away from home, I don’t know what it is about them, maybe scars from Oxford’s League One and Two days. But if there is something Wycombe are good at, it’s getting a result out of nothing.
Boreham Wood vs Tamworth - Home
I mean this fixture is on the list purely because of the lack of fixtures available surely. So It would be ridiculous not to go for a home win here. Boreham Wood are currently on 38 points and sit 2nd in the league, where as Tamworth are down in 11th on 25 points. And it paints the same picture with the Home vs Away form: 22 plays 13. Home win.
Yeovil vs Southend - Away
There were other fixtures which I could have picked, but as I have close family who are Southend fans I’m banking on them not letting me down. Come on you blues!

MK Dons vs Salford (BIG BET) - Away
MK have got the best away form in the league. But a pretty bang average 10pts in 7 games at home this season. Whereas Salford have a more balanced success rate home and away. Salfords recent form was too inviting to ignore as well. Being unbeaten in their last 5 games, in all competitions.
Lincoln vs Doncaster - Home
Going off of recent form, Lincoln look the worse of the two sides. But Lincoln have just come off of 5 away games in a row (which is ridiculous) and convincingly beat a pretty solid Barnsley side 0–2 in the league cup on Tuesday. Lincoln have averaged 2 points per home game so far this season. Whereas Doncaster have just 7 points in 7 away games.
Yeovil vs Southend - Away
All stats point to Southend being the stronger of the two sides. They have more points home and away. But more intriguingly a positive goal difference home and away, whereas Yeovil are negative in both. Leaving a pretty massive 22 goals between the two sides. Also Yeovil have drawn 1 and lost 5 of their last 6 games in all comps.
Port Vale vs Wycombe - Away
There seemed to be a lot of factors that make this an inviting pick. Recent form – Port Vale’s 4 losses in 5 games to Wycombe’s 4 wins in 5. Port Vale having the worst home form in the league, just 5 points in 7. And the overall look of the table, Wycombe currently sat in 14th while Port Vale are joint bottom.
Oldham vs Crewe - Away
Oldham haven’t been great at home this season with just 7 points in 7 games. And Crewe are currently sat just outside of the playoffs but could be as high as 3rd in the table if other results went their way this weekend! I think they would go into this the more confident of the two teams.
Boreham Wood vs Tamworth - Home
This seemed like a bit of a no brainer. Boreham Wood are flying, just 1 point off top of the league, while Tamworth are sat mid table in 11th with 13 less points. Boreham Wood also have the best home form in the league with a very impressive 27 points in 9 games. Since their loss to Rochdale on the opening day of the season they have been unbeaten at home. Also Tamworth have lost their last 4 games in all competitions.
Will
MK Dons vs Salford (BIG BET) - Away
Got to love a league two big bet, this game could go absolutely anyway. I’m putting my faith in Karl Robinson as ex Oxford manager to bag the away win.
Burton vs Blackpool - Home
Blackpool have managed 1 away win so far this season and have lost every other game away. Looking at Burton they haven’t done anything great this season but with Blackpool’s away form I’m going for Burton home win.
Bromley vs Barrow - Home
Both teams have been a bit up and down this season Bromley are still pushing for the play offs and are only 1 point off it. Barrow on the other hand looking like they are having a mid table season very inconsistent performances recently. The one result that is pushing me to the home win is Bromley win against Mk dons in there last home league match.
Cambridge vs Barnet - Home
Both teams all level in the league and looking at form Cambridge have the better a slightly better form, they had a solid result against Salford ending 0-0 away. Barnet last game against Mk dons at home ended 2-2. It’s going to be a tight game and my gut is telling me Home win.
Shrewsbury vs Newport - Home
The battle of the bottom two, both sides having a horrible season so far they have a big opportunity to grab a vital 3pts this weekend. Shrewsbury have shown some quality at home beating Cambridge and Crawley in their last two home games, I’m backing them to make it three home wins in a row.
Hartlepool vs Wealdtstone - Draw
Another big fixture in the national league and another two teams looking to push for the play offs and get up to the English Football League. Wealdstone have won their last 4 matches. Hartlepool have won 2 and drawn 2 in the same period. Really not a lot to split them and we need some points on the board so I’m going for the draw.
