I don’t want to talk about it. The only salvation is that somehow Will and Schoey still haven’t noticed, until I publish this post of course.

Well last week was easy... never in doubt at all. I had 5 results which were at least 2 goals away from being correct, which lead me to the big bet looking very likely I would be finishing the week with -10 points. Swansea took the lead fairly early and things were not looking good. Kieran and Will couldn't stop yapping in the group chat thinking it was all over for me. Until Birmingham equalised in the 72nd minute to save my bacon and take me from -10 to +10 for the week! Like I say, never in doubt!
Will: 6 points
Picks
Swansea 1-1 Birmingham (BIG BET) - Away (0pts)
Manchester United 2-0 Manchester City - Away (0pts)
Chelsea 2-0 Brentford - Home (3pts)
Sunderland 2-1 Crystal Palace - Home (3pts)
Preston 0-1 Derby - Home (0pts)
Charlton 1-0 Sheffield United - Home (0pts)

Schoey you jammy bloke, somehow going from a -10 for the weekend to getting the draw on the big bet and earning himself 10 points. 6pts for myself it’s points on the board, still trying to figure out where Man United’s performance came from. The Blades going down to 9 men before half time killed that pick for me and only just lost 1-0 to Charlton.
Current Standings
1st) Schoey (Correct: 51, Points: 212)
2nd) Will (Correct: 52, Points: 203)
3rd) Kieran (Correct: 48, Points: 177)
Gameweek 23 Picks
Kieran
Portsmouth vs Southampton (BIG BET) - Away
Come on you Saints!!! Please. Both me and Oxford need this desperately.
Middlesbrough vs Preston - Home
Backed two early kick offs this week which is very dodgy especially after last week’s performance but I’m feeling confident in this one. I think Preston are in a bit of a false position personally, nothing bad against them just a lot of the expected teams this year haven’t really performed. At home, I’m hoping this changes for Boro.
Notts County vs Crewe - Draw
My only draw this week. I’ve learned my lesson. And we’re getting it out of the way early so I’m not relying on it to save us.
Reading vs Barnsley - Home
Well they let me down last week with the draw, so can Reading bounce back with a win after last weekend’s loss? I am hoping so.
Bromley vs Swindon - Home
Right, fuck ‘em. Not sure what I was thinking betting on that lot down the road. I’m doing expecting from them now and I’m certain they’re not going up. COME ON BROMLEY.
AFC Bournemouth vs Liverpool - Away
The pick I’m most certain of of the week. I think Liverpool are through the rough patch now, and will start to dominate matches again.
Schoey
Portsmouth vs Southampton (BIG BET) - Draw
Well I must admit at first glance I instantly chose a Southampton win for this game. But I'm sure you'll be shocked to know I've gone for a big bet draw again! Portsmouth will be desperate to keep themselves out of the relegation zone and have actually only lost 1 in their last 6 home games in the league. Whereas Southampton have lost 4 and drawn 1 in their last 5 away games in the championship. I've almost convinced myself to do a complete flip on my original prediction and go for a Pompey win, but I still believe Southampton have the better quality in their side.
Middlesbrough vs Preston - Home
Middlesbrough, like Coventry have had a little dodgy patch, but now they have won 3 in their last 5 games and things are looking up for them again! Whereas Preston have lost their last 3 games in a row. I think having the home advantage should spur them on to a win this weekend.
Stevenage vs Mansfield - Away
Stevenage started the season off very strong, but have been in pretty rocky form recently. They have only won 1 in their last 11 games! Drawing 5 and losing 5. Whereas Manfield have won their last 5 games in a row! 3 of those games being away to Barnsley, Bolton and Sheffield utd! I'm hoping they can continue this form and fetch me 4 points this weekend.
Chelsea vs Crystal Palace - Away
Palace are really struggling at the moment. As well as their FA CUP disaster, they haven't won a game in their last 10 in all competitions. Which to put it politely, is terrible. Also losing their star man Guehi at the back certainly won't make it any easier for them. Chelsea on the other hand seem to be enjoying a new manager bounce with the David Brent impersonator at the wheel. After a long run of lackluster results Chelsea have won 3 in their last 4 with Rosenior in charge, only losing 3-2 to league leaders Arsenal.
Colchester vs Fleetwood - Home
This result was mainly picked off of home advantage and recent form. Colchester have lost 1, drawn 3 and won 6 in their last 10 league games. Whereas Fleetwood have lost 5 and drawn 1 in their last 6 games. Please Colchester, just do what makes sense and get yourselves and me 3 points.
Hull vs Swansea - Home
Well Hull continue to impress me and perform well above expectation. Having now won 7 in their last 9 games! Swansea on the other hand have lost 6 of their last 7 away games, which leads me to think Hull should go on to win this game at the MKM Stadium.
Will
Portsmouth vs Southampton (BIG BET) - Draw
This game could really go anyway and I fully expect a heated Derby day. Both teams haven’t been having a great season by their own standards. This game is going to be about who keeps their heads on the pitch and making sure they finish with 11 men. I’m backing the draw as I just can’t decide who will come away with the win.
Fulham vs Brighton - Home
I’ve really liked Fulham this season they have been playing some good football lately and show real quality going forward. With the AFCON players back this weekend as well Iwobi and Calvin Bassey will have some influence in this game. Home win for Fulham.
Bournemouth vs Liverpool - Away
This is a game this weekend that just isn’t finishing 0-0. In the last 5 games Bournemouth have scored and conceded 22 games so averaging over 4 goals a game. I think Liverpool will come away with the points here and just have a bit too much quality for Bournemouth.
Hull vs Swansea - Home
Well Hull are absolutely flying I just can’t not pick them, back to back wins on the road against Southampton and Preston really showing some class. Has to be a Home win.
QPR vs Wrexham - Away
I watched QPR mid week and they were just awful there was no real attacking threat from them. Whereas Wrexham you know you’re going to have them constantly putting balls in the box for Keith Moore to get on the end of.
Stevenage vs Mansfield - Home
This is just a bit of a gut feeling one, Stevenage have been having a dreadful run of form not winning in their last 7. Mansfield on the other hand have won their past 4 games on the bounce. So obviously I’m going for Stevenage to win.
