TWITS Picks Gameweek 13: A full 6/6 Haul From The Worst Player In Tipple

The battle at the top continues, with Kieran had a shocker last week while Schoey finally remembered how to play Tipple last weekend. A huge 34-point haul has given him some much-needed confidence, but can he keep it going? Meanwhile, the Big Bet throws up another Bristol City vs Norwich showdown, with two backing the Canaries and one stubbornly sticking with the draw.

Review: Well what the fuck Blackburn. Thank god for Port Vale saving me but what a shocker of a week. Need to pick my game up next week and big time, 5/6 minimum.

Review: Well well well.. I don’t think anybody expected that! Including myself! A desperately needed 34 points. I’m still a long way behind Kieran and Will, which shows just how desperate things were getting! When Norwich pulled back a win after being 0-2 down I thought could this be the weekend things go my way? And it just got better and better from then on. More of the same this week please!

WILL (11 pts)

Liverpool 0-1 Arsenal (BIG BET) - Draw (0 pts)
Fleetwood 3-1 Bristol Rovers
- Home (3 pts)
Leicester 2-2 Stevenage
- Draw (5 pts)
West Ham 1-3 West Brom -
Home (0 pts)
Port Vale 4-2 Rochdale
- Home (3 pts)
Newcastle 0-1 Everton
- Draw (0 pts)

Review: 11pts for me should of been 21, if Arsenal hadn’t of paid the Var referees off for the pull back on Isak. Good two home wins from Port Vale and Bristol Rovers very convincing from both. Then a solid draw between Leicester and Stevenage provided me with a not-too-bad weekend. Shock of the weekend was the West Ham losing 3-1 to West Brom which led to Nuno being sacked.

Big Bet

Bristol City vs Norwich City (2 Away, 1 Draw)

Kieran (Away): Norwich seem to have finally found some momentum, and I’m not particularly convinced by what Bristol City have been serving up recently. Three wins on the bounce for the Canaries is enough for me to get behind them here. Bristol are more than capable of making this difficult, but I’m backing Norwich to continue their run and take all three points.

Schoey (Draw): This was a tricky pick. Norwich definitely seem the more favourable pick now after the mid week games as well. But if I change to an away win now it is bound to be a draw! So I’ll stick with it. I can’t get my head around Bristol City underperforming after the transfer window they had in the summer. I’m hoping the early kickoff may cause a bit of an upset and Norwich don’t turn up for it.

Will (Away): Well Bristol seem to be having a turbulent time in the last 5 games with 3 losses, 1 draw and 1 win. Whereas Norwich are on a 3 win streak with their last game smashing old Archie’s Derby team 4-0 away. So going to follow the winning team here and hope they get the job done.

Clashes

Brighton vs Brentford (1 Home, 1 Draw)

Kieran (Draw): This is probably one of the more interesting fixtures of the weekend. Brighton are a very good side, particularly at home, but Brentford have shown they can compete with just about anyone this season. I’m struggling to separate the two, so I’m sitting on the fence and taking the five-point draw. A decent result for both teams and hopefully for me as well.

Schoey (Home): If this was an away fixture for Brighton I would definitely be more tempted with a draw. Or maybe would leave this game alone all together. But even with Brentford being class this season, I just can’t help but feel that Brighton are just on another level. Their form guide looks worse than it is after having 5 away games in a row. In their last 3 home games in all comps they have a combined score of 12-0. So they will be very keen to be back at Amex I’m sure.

Going It Alone

Kieran

Birmingham City vs Swansea City (Home): Birmingham at home feels like a fairly sensible pick here. I’m backing them to make the most of home advantage and get the three points. Swansea haven’t given me enough reason away from home to go against Birmingham, despite them smashing a poor Blackburn side last week, so let’s hope Birmingham deliver.

Slough Town vs Walton & Hersham (Away): Non-league…always a dangerous place to start pretending you know what you’re talking about. I don’t think many people will be spending their Saturday afternoon watching Slough Town vs Walton & Hersham. But I’m taking the away win and hoping Walton & Hersham can reward a little bit of blind faith.

SCHOEY

Portsmouth vs Stoke City (Away): It appears Mark Robins has managed to finally get stoke out of the bang average rut they have been in for many many seasons now. Portsmouth are unbeaten in their last 6 so I know this is a risk. But I fancy stoke to do the job.

WILL

Leeds United vs Tottenham Hotspur (Away): Well didn’t think I would write this about Spurs, 3 wins on the bounce and their playing really good football. De Zerbi has seemed to have figured it out and I have to back them to get the win against an off-form Leeds team.

AFC Telford United vs Spalding United (Home): Ah the joys of the non-league. I’m not going to say I know the National League north but Telford jumped out to me after they have won 3 of their last 5 drawn 1 and lost one. Where as Spalding have only won once in their last 5.

Weston-super-mare vs Braintree Town (Away): Now into the National League South for this one. Braintree seem to be on a bit of a run winning their last 3 in all competitions. While Super Marine are having a terrible turn of form winless in their last 8.
