TWITS Picks: Gameweek 3
An extremely average week for us, with just 22 points between us, we’re just happy we’re not on the -10 list yet. To be honest looking at the global league we are actually not doing too bad. It seems the whole of Tipple has gotten off to a fairly stuttered start except the ones at the very top…bastards.
Current Standings
1st) Will (chubbbaaa) (Correct: 3, Points: 14)
2nd) Kieran (whelanox) Correct: 3, Points: 11)
3rd) Schoey (schoey) (Correct: 3, Points: 10)
Gameweek 2 Results
KIERAN (5 pts)
Lincoln 1-3 Portsmouth (BIG BET) - Home (0 pts)
Ipswich 2-1 Sunderland - Draw (0 pts)
Rotherham 1-1 York - Draw (5 pts)
MK Dons 1-1 Huddersfield - Home (0 pts)
Wrexham 1-1 Watford - Home (0 pts)
Blackburn 2-1 Middlesbrough - Away (0 pts)
Review: I mean, how unlucky can you get. 3 home wins and none of them coming in, and Middlesbrough who I’m pretty sure half of Tipple had as their banker losing to bloody Blackburn. Still luckily the Rotherham York matches saved my skin, but what a crap week.
SCHOEY (7 pts)
Lincoln 1-3 Portsmouth (BIG BET) - Home (0 pts)
Ipswich 2-1 Sunderland - Away (0 pts)
Crewe 1-0 Northampton - Home (3 pts)
Swansea 0-0 Sheffield Utd - Home (0 pts)
West Brom 3-1 Burnley - Away (0 pts)
Fulham 2-3 Chelsea - Away (4 pts)
Review: Well it was pretty crap again but at least it wasn’t as back as GW1! I’m crying out for a big bet bonus come on Crewe! Get it done please!
WILL (10 pts)
Lincoln 1-3 Portsmouth (BIG BET) - Away (9 pts)
Colchester 2-1 Oldham - Draw (0 pts)
Bromley 1-1 Cambridge - Home (0 pts)
Blackburn 2-1 Middlesbrough - Away (0 pts)
Brentford 3-0 Tottenham - Away (-3 pts)
Fulham 2-3 Chelsea - Away (4 pts)
Review: Mixed bag for me, started the weekend strong with the easy Pompey win in the big bet other two not got a clue betting against them. It went down hill from here ending the Sunday with only 6pts thanks to the -3pts from spurs embarrassing result. Thankfully Chelsea saved me a little with the away win to Fulham.

Big Bet
Lincoln vs Portsmouth (1 Home, 1 Draw, 1 Away)
Kieran (Draw): I’m going big, and not very brave. I really can’t call it between these two, on the one hand, Port Vale are one of the outsiders for promotion and definitely expected to get near play-offs, but on the other, Crewe’s two opening games have accumulated 6 points and 0 goals conceded. I’m going for a 0-0 draw, and I hope we’re all bored to death by the worst Big Bet spectacle ever.
Schoey (Away): After looking at how both teams have started the season I had to pick Crewe away. 6pts and two clean sheets against Port Vale’s 1pt. If I didn’t back Crewe and they won I would kick myself.
Will (Home): Crewe look to be the form side going into this with 2 wins on the bounce. While the Vale search for their first win. I am split on this but edging to the Vale Home win. After last week draw with Tranmere at home I think they can improve on that this week as we start to settle into the season. I do like the factor that one of us will have the winner this week with the other two going Draw and away win, hopefully Schoey will be eating his words again.
Where We Clash
Leeds vs Brentford (1 Draws, 1 Away)
Will (Draw): Two teams who have impressed in the first week. Brentford smashing spurs who looked like a team that didn’t know what football was. Leeds just edging out Forrest with a late free kick from Aton Stach. I think Schoey has seen the Brentford result and not put an enough respect on Leeds for their win. This will be a great watch 2-2 its finishes.
Schoey (Draw): Brentford just look a different level now. Such a solid premier league outfit. After disposing of Spurs last weekend I could see them picking up another 3pts this weekend.
Going It Alone
KIERAN
Crawley vs Bristol Rovers (Away): I have a lot of faith in Rovers this year, so much so that I think they are going to win the league. So to be honest there will be very few games that I don’t back them when they are in Tipple this year…unless they turn out to be shit of course.
Cambridge vs Huddersfield (Away): Huddersfield have impressed me in their early games, I think they will have more than enough to grab 3 points against a Cambridge side who I can see finishing comfortably mid table.
SCHOEY
Stockport vs Leeds (Home): Although Stockport did lose at home last weekend, I still see them as the stronger side against Wycombe. And will be desperate for their first home win of the season.
Sunderland vs Fulham (Home):As a Cov fan this isn’t easy to do. But I’m backing Sunderland for a second week in a row, even though they let me down last week, I think they just didn’t turn up. And I think this week at home will be a different story.
WILL
MK Dons vs Leicester (Away): Leicester should be collecting all 3pts here. MK will be disappointed from last week lost to Oxford. With Leicester’s squad they have I can’t see them losing to many games this season and should be an easy 4pts.
Cardiff vs Sheffield Utd (Home): I’m calling it Sheffield are in for a relegation fight this season not completely sure what is going on over there. Cardiff at home have to be the favourites here.
