Review: All in all not a bad week to be honest, if Liverpool weren’t so crap it would have been a blinder! Sad to have lost my top spot but Will just had a very good week we’ll win it back next week.

Review: Huge news. The curse has been broken. I actually got a big bet correct! On top of that, my highest scoring week so far... even with a -3. Still was only 13 points, so a long way to go!
WILL (25 pts)
Southampton 1-0 Portsmouth (BIG BET) - Draw (0 pts)
Plymouth 2-1 AFC Wimbledon - Home (3 pts)
Aston Villa 2-2 Brentford - Draw (5 pts)
Cheltenham 0-4 Salford - Away (5 pts)
Huddersfield 2-2 Sheffield Wednesday - Draw (5 pts)
Middlesbrough 1-0 Wolves- Home (3 pts)
Review: My biggest haul of the season so far 25 points lovely stuff. It could have been so much better if Pompey knew how to finish in the big bet, after playing against ten men for 45 minutes. Sheff Wednesday gave me a massive result with an equaliser in the 98th minute to secure the draw. With that result it knocked Kieran off the top in the Twits League, which he was sincerely happy for me.

Big Bet
MK Dons vs Luton (1 Draw, 2 Away)
Kieran (Home): MK Dons have made a habit of drawing games this season, and Luton have been as unpredictable as anything. The Hatters are undoubtedly the better side, but I’m backing MK to frustrate their visitors and pick up another point. Ten points for me, still no wins for MK. Everyone’s happy.
Schoey (Away): Well there may be a bit of recency bias here, but let's look at last weekend alone. MK were battered at home against Reading and Luton battered Wycombe away. I can't ignore that.
Will (Away): MK have been awful they have failed to win at home so far this season and Luton come into this game after beating Wycombe 4-1 away. It’s going to be a real question if Paul Warne is still there come Monday morning. One thing I’m certain about is this is going to be a goal fest and could even be minus points for anyone picking a Mk win or a draw.
Clashes
Brentford vs Liverpool (1 Away, 1 Draw)
Kieran (Away): Brentford have made an impressive start to the season, but Liverpool are a different proposition. The Bees will make life difficult, particularly at home, but I’m backing the Reds to eventually find a way through and take all three points.
Schoey (Draw): I think Kieran may be underestimating unbeaten Brentford this weekend. I even might be by saying draw! They comfortably beat Chelsea 3-0 last time out at home. Liverpool will also have the more tired legs after their midweek Champions League game.
Birmingham vs QPR (1 Home, 1 Draw)
Kieran (Home): Both sides come into this one off the back of impressive four-goal performances, so goals certainly shouldn’t be in short supply. Birmingham are beginning to find their feet under Chris Davies, and while QPR will fancy their chances, I’m backing Blues to make home advantage count. Could be a cracker.
Will (Draw): Very conflicted on this one, QPR had an easy time against an extremely poor Derby team to end their consistent run of draws. Birmingham on the other hand are unbeaten in 4 winning 3 and drawing the other. I just can’t split them so going with a draw here.
Tottenham vs Coventry (1 Home, 1 Draw, 1 Away)
Kieran (Away): Is backing newly promoted Coventry to win away at Tottenham a bit ambitious? Probably. Do I care? But the Sky Blues will be flying after putting four past Newcastle, while Spurs remain capable of losing to absolutely anyone. I’m backing Coventry to pile on the misery in North London.
Schoey (Draw): Well! Quite frankly I am flattered that Kieran thinks we will win. But at the same time slightly offended that Will thinks we will break Spurs' horrendous home form curse. Spurs having won just 2 Premier League home games since the 16th of August 2025! Coventry were fantastic on Monday and finally clinical. I hope we can keep it going!
Will (Home): I’m calling it now Spurs win a game. There have been signs that they know how to play. The result against United showed a side that I think everyone and I haven’t seen for 3 seasons. If Solanke could have finished his chance in the first half they could have been 2-0 going into half-time. There is always the story of Lampard rocking up to Spurs and taking points off them like it’s second nature.
Going It Alone
Kieran
Wycombe vs Notts County (Home): Wycombe will be desperate to bounce back after last weekend’s hammering at Luton, and a visit from struggling Notts County looks like the perfect opportunity. The Magpies have lost three on the bounce, and I can’t see their fortunes improving at Adams Park. Comfortable home win for me.
SCHOEY
Leicester vs Doncaster (Away): Leicester have the joint-worst home form in the league. 1 win and 3 losses thru 4 games. Including a 1-3 loss to one of the worst teams in the league last weekend. Coincidentally the same team Doncaster beat 0-2 in their last away game.
WILL
Plymouth vs Huddersfield (Home): I’m backing Plymouth again they seem to be my form team so far this season now. This is going to be a tough game but the way Huddersfield chucked away the 3pts last weekend I think they’re just a bit shakey at back.
Millwall vs Lincoln (Home): Shame this one isn’t on tv this weekend. The international break I think came at a good time for Middlesbrough the previous two games they drew, I think they come back and find their winning form again. Going for a Will Lankshear brace for 2-0 win.
Everton vs Chelsea (Away): As long as the free-playing, free-scoring Chelsea turn up this weekend I think this is an easy away win. The link-up play at the top of the pitch has been as good as it gets, they just need to sort it out at the back to be a real challenger for the title this season.
